Rangers chairman Craig Whyte has reportedly claimed that the club are considering a change of name for their Ibrox stadium.
Newcastle United recently renamed St James's Park the Sports Direct Arena to alert potential investors to the possiblity of buying the naming rights to the ground.
"Realistically, something that would give the club a big injection of capital would be foolhardy to turn down," Andy Kerr, president of the Rangers Supporters Assembly, told Press Association Sport.
"It looks like sizeable chunks of income ain't going to come from anywhere else so it has to be considered."
The Gers are currently the subject of a £49m tax bill which could affect the ownership of the naming rights.
