Rangers have reportedly told midfielder Joey Barton to remain away from the club's training ground after deciding to extend his suspension until further notice.
Barton has spent the last month away from Auchenhowie after a heated disagreement with teammate Andy Halliday, but he had been scheduled to return on Monday.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the summer signing will remain out of contention at the Scottish giants after being asked to stay away from their facilities for a longer period of time.
Barton is also currently under investigation after it was alleged that he placed 44 football bets - an infringement of the SFA's rules - between July and September.
On Friday night, Rangers moved into third position in the Scottish Premiership with a 1-0 victory away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
