Rangers have been dealt a blow in their preparations for the new season following the cancellation of their trip to Germany.
The financially-stricken club has confirmed that the organisers have pulled out of the tour, which throws the Scottish outfit's pre-season plans into doubt.
A statement on the newco's official website said: "Rangers Football Club has been informed by the organisers of our pre-season trip to Germany that they can no longer offer us a place on the tour.
"The team was due to play three games in Germany between 18-25 July, but the trip will now not take place at their request."
Meanwhile, the former Scottish champions have confirmed that they will apply to become a member of the Scottish Football League after clubs from the Scottish Premier League ousted them from the top flight.
