Steven Naismith grabs two goals as Rangers win the first Old Firm Derby of the season against Celtic.

Two goals from Steven Naismith helped Glasgow Rangers win the first Old Firm Derby of the season against Glasgow Celtic at Ibrox.

Hosts Rangers took the lead in the 22nd minute through Naismith, who curled the ball into the top left hand corner of the net.

It was Celtic that would take the lead into the break though, with goals from Gary Hooper and Badr El Kaddouri.

Ally McCoist's Rangers restored parity shortly after the restart courtesy of a headed goal from centre-forward Nikica Jelavic.

It would be Jelavic's strike partner Lafferty that stuck the all important third goal of the afternoon, converting Gregg Wylde's low cross from close range.

As Celtic pushed for an equaliser they had full-back Charlie Mulgrew sent off after he was handed a second yellow card.

The points were sealed deep into stoppage time when Naismith claimed his second of the afternoon, volleying in David Healy's cross.
