Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has said that he 'admires the Premier League' amid suggestions that Aston Villa could attempt to sign him during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has scored 14 times in 18 appearances for Rangers this season, while he has struck 62 times in 109 outings for the Scottish giants since arriving in 2017.
Villa are reportedly eyeing a January swoop for Morelos, and the Colombia international has hinted that his ultimate ambition is to earn a move to the Premier League.
"I've spoken a lot to Steven Gerrard this season. It's thanks to him that I am here. He's just a good man-manager and a great coach. Things have gone really well for me at Rangers this season. I've scored in just about every game for them," Morelos told reporters.
"It's not a secret that I admire the English Premier League. I have to keep scoring goals for Rangers if I am ever to get a chance of moving to a club there."
Morelos, who is currently on international duty with Colombia, has a contract at Ibrox until the summer of 2023.
