Highly-rated striker Nicky Clark has joined Rangers on a three-year contract from Queen of the South.
The forward, who scored 41 goals in all competitions last season, had been linked with a host of clubs following his exploits. However, Rangers have now tied the 21-year-old to a contract.
"At that level, he's proved he's one of the most talented - his goalscoring record is fantastic and we certainly need strengthened in forward areas," Rangers boss Ally McCoist told reporters at a press conference.
"Looking at our side in the last half a dozen games, we're particularly weak in forward areas and that would be somewhere we would look to strengthen."
Clark's father Sandy played for Rangers in the 1980s.
