Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is reportedly aiming to make former Liverpool teammate Martin Skrtel his first signing at Ibrox.
The ex-England midfielder has already installed Gary McAllister as his assistant manager and, according to the Daily Record, he is also keen to add former Reds defender Skrtel to his squad.
Rangers are said to have made "sufficient funds" available to ensure that Gerrard has the best chance of challenging Celtic in the Scottish Premiership next season.
The Liverpool legend, who will take up his post in June, has reportedly drawn up a list of transfer targets and Skrtel is at the top of it.
Skrtel is currently on the books at Fenerbahce, having joined the Turkish club from Liverpool in 2016.
