Birmingham City forward Greg Stewart is reportedly a target for Rangers following his impressive goals return in the first half of the season at Kilmarnock.

Rangers are in the running to sign Birmingham City forward Greg Stewart, according to a report.

The 29-year-old has spent the season on loan in the Scottish Premiership, notching eight goals in 16 matches for Kilmarnock before switching to Aberdeen in January.

Stewart has been less prolific at Pittodrie, managing one goal in five games, but Rangers boss Steven Gerrard reportedly likes the look of the Stirling-born ace.

Birmingham have not considered offering Stewart a new contract, though the Scottish Mail claims that the Gers are one of a number of teams looking to snap up the soon-to-be free agent.

Rangers were beaten 2-1 by Celtic on Sunday afternoon to all but end their slim hopes of catching the league leaders.
