Reading have reportedly held talks over a move for Zambia defender Stoppila Sunzu.
The 23-year-old, who plays for Congolese side TP Mazembe, claimed in April that Chelsea, Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers were all interested in signing him.
Reading have now emerged as the favourites for Sunzu's signature but, according to The Sun, the Royals have put their £3m bid on ice after the player was selected in Zambia's Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Sunzu has been capped 32 times at senior international level.
