Reading manager Nigel Adkins has admitted that he is relishing his side's trip to Wigan Athletic on Good Friday as they continue to battle for their place in the playoffs this season.
The Royals currently occupy the final playoff spot, but are only in sixth on goal difference, and with a win would move above Wigan, three points ahead of them, in the hunt.
"We are looking forward to it, it's a very exciting end to the season," Sky Sports News quotes Adkins as saying. "Wigan are above us in the table, we can get closer to them with a victory or they can pull away from us.
"At this stage of the season the magnitude of results grows and grows and it's going to be a good one.
"Wigan have been magnificent - they've had a lot of games, the FA Cup semi-final and Europe. They want to get back up there at the first time of asking, but so do we."
The Latics also have a game in hand over Reading.
