Reading manager Brian McDermott has revealed that he will be holding talks with Danny Guthrie following the recent controversy surrounding the midfielder.
The 25-year-old was fined two weeks' wages for reportedly refusing to travel with the squad for their 3-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday.
"I need to speak to him," BBC Sport quotes McDermott as saying. "We need to have a conversation."
Guthrie, whose future is up in the air following the incident, has featured six times for the Royals since joining the club on a free transfer from Newcastle United in the summer.
