Reading are close to completing the signing of Shamrock Rovers striker Karl Sheppard.
Royals boss Brian McDermott is believed to be a big admirer of the 20-year-old, according to Sky Sports News.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international signed his first professional contract with Galway United in 2010.
Sheppard was a key part of Shamrock's Europa League campaign this season.
