Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao believes that he can finish as the topscorer in La Liga this season.
Falcao scored 24 goals in the Primera Division last season in what was his first year in Spanish football.
The Colombia international finished third in the race for the Pichichi, with Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo finishing first and second with 50 and 46 goals respectively.
Messi and Ronaldo are once again expected to dominate the goalscoring charts in the Spanish top flight this season, but Falcao claims that he can beat them to the top of the leaderboard.
"Their number of goals is not impossible for me," Falcao said. "What I want is to celebrate a good season with the fans.
"And with my goals and those of the rest of the team I know they will be happy. 'Pichichi'? Why not? With faith everything is possible."
Falcao helped Atletico finished fifth in La Liga and to Europa League triumph last season, and is looking forward to yet another successful campaign with the Madrid outfit.
"I am very excited about the new season," said the 26-year-old. "The team is more stable and we know each other better.
"In my case I am more adapted to La Liga. On a personal and collective level we are able to improve on what we did last year. We are arriving well, just at the right level. We have done a good pre-season with good physical preparation.
"First up is the game against Levante, if we win there and go through the rest of the season game by game, we can reach the targets we have set ourselves."
Atletico travel to face Levante on Sunday.
