Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has left the door open for Neymar to join the club, informing the Paris Saint-Germain forward that he would have a better chance of winning the Ballon d'Or at the Bernabeu.
Neymar finished third at Thursday night's award ceremony in Paris, as Cristiano Ronaldo came out on top for a fifth time to equal Lionel Messi's record.
The Brazil international has now finished directly behind the dominant pair on two occasions, but Perez believes that the story would be different if he were to swap PSG for the Spanish capital further down the line.
"Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d'Or," he told Marca. "Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big player, everyone knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point."
Madrid have been heavily linked with Neymar, despite his Barcelona connection, and are reportedly preparing a big-money move for 2019.
