Barcelona midfielder Xavi believes that the club's rivalry with Real Madrid means they do not get the recognition they deserve in Spain.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi believes that the club does not get the recognition it deserves in their home nation.

The Catalans have won 13 titles over the past four years, but the 32-year-old has stated that their rivalry with Real Madrid means they are underappreciated in Spain.

"Barca's victories are move valued outside of Spain than in Spain, but it's because of the Barca-Madrid war that we have here," Xavi told reporters.

Xavi has made 614 appearances for Barcelona.
