The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.
Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad last summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked, even in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.
Sunday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'may have to settle for Sergio Reguilon loan deal'
Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Sergio Reguilon as Real Madrid are only prepared to allow the defender to leave on loan this summer, according to a report.
Reguilon starred in the Sevilla team which achieved a top-four finish and a sixth Europa League crown in the 2019-20 season, making 38 appearances in total while on loan at Julen Lopetegui's side.
The Spaniard is now back in Madrid ahead of the new campaign, but with Ferland Mendy and Marcelo among the ranks on the left-hand side for Los Blancos, Reguilon could supposedly seek a move elsewhere this summer.
However, Sport claims that while Real manager Zinedine Zidane is happy to part ways with the left-back, the powers-that-be would rather see Reguilon depart on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The report comes as a blow to United, who are believed to have already submitted a £27m bid for Reguilon, but the Red Devils are still said to be at the head of the queue for the 23-year-old despite strong interest from other clubs.
Reguilon's current deal at the Bernabeu runs until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
How Manchester United could line up with Sergio Reguilon
Real Madrid have reportedly indicated to Manchester United that they are prepared to offload left-back Sergio Reguilon this summer.
The 23-year-old made 38 appearances during a spell on loan with Europa League winners Sevilla last season, earning a place in the La Liga team of the year.
Reguilon is back at Madrid ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, but boss Zinedine Zidane is supposedly ready to send him to Man Utd, possibly on an initial loan.
As speculation over Reguilon's future continues to mount, Sports Mole looks at how United could line up with the Spaniard in their ranks next season.
United have already made one signing this summer, bringing in talented box-to-box midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
Van de Beek could play alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in a midfield three, or may possibly rotate with the latter to make room for a more defensive-minded player.
Up front, meanwhile, the front three of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign and are nailed on to be regulars this term, fitness depending.
Reguilon's possible arrival will only strengthen United's starting lineup, with the versatile wideman - used more regularly as a wing-back by Sevilla - providing a better option than Luke Shaw on the left.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka enjoyed a positive enough first campaign at Old Trafford on the right side of defence, while Victor Lindelof appears to be the best option to partner Harry Maguire.
That just leaves the number one spot, which is currently occupied by David de Gea but may well belong to Dean Henderson before too long.
