AC Milan have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic as a potential replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
With club official Zvonimir Boban having recently left San Siro, it has been suggested that Ibrahimovic will opt against penning an extension to his contract.
That would leave Milan in need of an alternative option at a time when they may not have earned qualification for Europe.
According to Calciomercato, the Italian giants are interested in Jovic, who may be allowed to find a new team after struggling to impress at the Bernabeu.
The 22-year-old has contributed just two goals and one assist from 19 outings in Spain's top flight and the Champions League this season.
Should they be able to complete a deal, Milan would be able to reunite Jovic with former Eintracht Frankfurt teammate Ante Rebic.
