Agent Rene Ramos has insisted that there 'should not be any alarm' over Sergio Ramos having failed to hold talks over a new contract with Real Madrid.
Although the defender is closing in on the 15th anniversary of his transfer from Sevilla, the veteran only has 12 months remaining on his current deal.
However, despite the lack of progression in discussions, Rene says that he remains calm over the situation involving his sibling.
Speaking to Radio Marca, the representative said: "There are many twists and turns in football but there are very good intentions on both sides.
"Hopefully he will retire at Real Madrid, it is his dream and I understand that it is the club's wish too. Until now, we have not spoken anything but there is no to be alarmed. The moment the club considers it we will start talking."
Ramos has made 640 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions.
