Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that the club will not be making any signings during the January transfer window.
Los Blancos were relatively quiet over the summer, only bringing in Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger to boost a squad that won a La Liga and Champions League double during the 2021-22 campaign.
Casemiro was the team's major exit during the recent transfer window, with the 30-year-old leaving the club to join Manchester United.
There has been speculation surrounding possible incomings at Bernabeu next month, but Ancelotti has said that Los Blancos will not be making any signings in the winter market.
The Italian has insisted that he is happy with the "well-constructed" squad that he has put together.
"We won't be signing anyone because the squad is well constructed. In terms of exits, we don't know. Some of the players who play less might look to go somewhere where they'd play more. But, there won't be any incomings," said Ancelotti ahead of Friday's La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.
The Real Madrid head coach was also asked about the club's out-of-contract players, with seven of the first-team squad seeing their deals expire next June.
Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Dani Ceballos, Nacho and Mariano Diaz all only have contracts until next June.
Benzema is widely expected to soon sign an extension, while the club are said to be working to keep Asensio, Kroos and Modric.
However, there is uncertainty surrounding the futures of Ceballos, Nacho and Mariano, with the trio potentially being allowed to leave the Spanish champions on free transfers.
Ancelotti has said that he is 'not worried' by the situation, with the club in control of the contract developments.
"This doesn't worry me because all the players are very committed and training well," he added.
"I think there's plenty of time to evaluate each of these situations properly. If they renew then I'll be happy, but if they think they need to leave the club then I'll be happy for them too."
Real Madrid will head to Real Valladolid on Friday evening knowing that a victory would see them move above Barcelona to the top of the La Liga table.
Los Blancos will then be in Copa del Rey action against Cacereno on January 3. body check tags ::
