Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that his squad "is closed", with the Italian ruling out further incomings at Bernabeu this summer.

Los Blancos have boosted their attack for the 2024-25 campaign with the signings of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, with the duo set to join the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo in the final third of the field.

There had been suggestions that Real Madrid could sign a new central midfielder due to Toni Kroos's retirement, while Nacho's departure has left them a player down in the middle of their defence.

However, Ancelotti has ruled out any further transfer activity this summer, insisting that the team is covered in the defensive positions.

"The squad is closed. [Jesus] Vallejo is back, [David] Alaba is recovering. We have the youngsters: Joan [Martinez], Jacobo [Ramon] and Raul [Asencio]," he said.

Ancelotti rules out further Real Madrid transfer business

Ancelotti has also claimed that there will not be any further first-team exits despite the likes of Andriy Lunin and Dani Ceballos being heavily linked with departures.

"There are no departures because everyone wants to stay," he added.

Real Madrid are currently in the United States preparing for their opening friendly of the summer against AC Milan, which will take place on Wednesday night.

"It's a bit particular. Little by little we are seeing the players. At the moment we have worked well and evaluated the youngsters from the youth academy," Ancelotti said when asked about pre-season.

"Everyone who arrives is in good shape. It's not like before, now the player arrives prepared. We love to evaluate the youth players. We have a lot of quality and it's a good time for them.

Ancelotti confirms Endrick debut

"The truth is that I'm not worried. Because we have a spectacular squad in all positions. Mbappe has joined, which is fantastic. As I said, we don't have much time to prepare for the first few games, but the players will come back in good shape.

"They have a programme that starts 15 days before they arrive. The most important thing is to rest. The whole group comes back on the 7th."

Ancelotti also confirmed that Endrick will make his debut against Milan, adding: "He is very young, powerful, very fast. I'm not going to ask too much of him because we have to keep in mind that it's an exciting time for him.

"He will play 45 minutes tomorrow. We are delighted to have him with us."

Real Madrid will also face Barcelona and Chelsea during their time in the United States before taking on Atalanta BC in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14. body check tags ::
