Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he will need Javier Hernandez in the latter stages of the season.
The Mexican joined Los Blancos on a season-long loan from Manchester United last summer, but has struggled for football at the Bernabeu.
The 26-year-old was linked with a move away from Madrid in the January window, but Ancelotti has said that the forward will play his part in the second half of the campaign.
"He's stayed here because we've signed him and we need him. I don't know how many minutes we'll need him to play. He's spoken to me and expressed his contentment, plus he's shown great professionalism," Ancelotti told reporters.
Hernandez has scored four times in 15 games for the Spanish club this season.
