Real Madrid have confirmed that Marco Asensio will sign a long-term contract extension at the Bernabeu.
The Spaniard has impressed so far this season after breaking into the fold under Zinedine Zidane last term.
Asensio signed for the Spanish giants in 2014 for around £3.5m from Mallorca, and has agreed a new six-year-deal with Los Blancos.
The 21-year-old played 23 Liga games last season and also impressed in the Champions League, scoring three times in eight appearances, including a goal in the final against Juventus.
A statement on the Real website read: "Real Madrid CF and Asensio have agreed an extension to the player's contract, binding him to the club until the June 30, 2023.
"Tomorrow, Friday, at 2pm CEST, Asensio will appear at a press conference in the media room at the Santiago Bernabeu."
Asensio's new deal comes just a day after Real Madrid signed defender Raphael Varane to a five-year contract extension.
The duo follow in the footsteps of Marcelo, Isco, Dani Carvajal, Karim Benzema and Marcos Llorente, who have also recently committed their futures to the club.
