Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly awaiting a decision on the future of Gareth Bale before pushing ahead with any further transfer business.
The Welshman has been tipped to move on at the end of the season after falling out of favour over the past year.
Bale is no longer a regular pick in the forward line and Zidane's return to the Bernabeu has only complicated his future, even if he did score against Celta Vigo last week.
According to El Confidencial, the 29-year-old holds the key to Real's transfer strategy as a summer sale would give Zidane even more money to spend on attacking recruits.
The report suggests that Los Blancos will try to get in the region of £86m for Bale if he indicates that he wants to leave, which will be reinvested back into the squad.
Paul Pogba, Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard are all rumoured targets for Real, who have already moved to bring in Eder Militao from Porto.
