Karim Benzema has signed a new long-term contract with Real Madrid, ending speculation that he could leave the Spanish outfit this summer.
A statement on the club's official website has confirmed the news, with Los Blancos handing the French international a new deal until the end of June 2019.
The 26-year-old moved to Madrid from Lyon in 2009 and has scored 111 times in 235 appearances for the capital outfit.
It had been claimed that the forward would leave Madrid earlier in the summer, but such talk has now been quelled following the announcement of a fresh contract.
Benzema scored 24 times last season.
