Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that Real Madrid should consider selling Eden Hazard during this summer's transfer window.
The 30-year-old joined Los Blancos from Chelsea in July 2019 off the back of scoring 110 goals and registering 92 assists in 352 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.
The Belgium international has largely found it difficult to make his mark at the Bernabeu, though, managing just four goals and seven assists in 35 outings in all competitions.
Hazard has struggled with a number of injury problems in the Spanish capital, meanwhile, and Berbatov has urged Zinedine Zidane's side to consider a summer sale.
"Real Madrid should consider selling Hazard. He has had a lot of injuries since he arrived in Spain and that has prevented him from showing the brilliant football that he played at Chelsea," Berbatov told Betfair.
"If it was something occasional then it would be a different matter, but the fact is that the player is injured again and again and again. That is a sign that there is another problem that is affecting him."
The Belgian is currently facing four to six weeks on the sidelines with another muscular problem.
