Former Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello has urged the Spanish giants to move for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
Madrid did not directly replace Cristiano Ronaldo during the recent summer transfer window, and have struggled for goals and indeed results in recent weeks.
Icardi has a record of 112 goals in 190 appearances for Inter since arriving at San Siro, and Capello has said that Los Blancos should make Icardi "a priority" due to his prowess in the final third.
"I am a fan of Icardi, I like him," Capello told Radio Rai. "Real Madrid should make him their priority to be signed, because he is the most similar player to Cristiano Ronaldo and is deadly in the penalty box.
"He is the player Ronaldo has been in recent years and Icardi is someone who has that movement and feel for the goal."
Madrid will attempt to win a football match for the first time since September 22 when they welcome Levante to the Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.
