Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena has refused to rule out a future move to Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old, who came through the youth system at Barca, has made 39 first-team appearances for the Spanish champions since breaking into the first team.
The Spaniard has only featured on five occasions in La Liga this term, though, and has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou over the last few months.
Alena was recently questioned on whether he would consider a move to Real Madrid in the future, and the midfielder refused to rule out a switch to the Bernabeu.
"A lot of things can happen in football, you never know," Alena told Cadena Ser. "Obviously they are a rival and I have been a Barcelona fan all my life, so it would be tough, but I've been taught that you never say never because so many things go on in the game.
"But obviously they're a big rival and I have never been a Madrid fan."
Alena will see his current contract with Ernesto Valverde's side expire in the summer of 2022.
