Real Madrid could reportedly look to cash in on out-of-favour midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer, with the Spaniard out of contract in 2023.

Dani Ceballos's future at Real Madrid is reportedly hanging in the balance amid his struggles for game time.

The ex-Real Betis man has only made seven appearances in all competitions for Carlo Ancelotti's side this term, although his campaign has been hampered by a serious ankle injury.

Ceballos's deal is due to expire in the summer of 2023, though, and the 25-year-old continues to be linked with an exit despite Ancelotti affirming that he would play an important role in the second half of the season.

According to AS, a contract renewal with the capital giants now seems unlikely, and Real Madrid could now look to cash in on Ceballos ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The former Spain Under-23 international has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Crystal Palace following his two-year spell at Arsenal, but a return to Betis is now thought to be the most realistic option.

Ceballos only has 41 minutes of La Liga action under his belt this term and boasts a total of five goals and three assists in 63 games for Los Blancos. body check tags ::
