Dani Ceballos has reportedly rejected a number of contract offers from the Premier League, as the midfielder fights to secure a new deal at Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old is in the final six months of his contract with Los Blancos, and it is understood that the Spanish and European champions are yet to decide whether to offer him an extension.
Ceballos has featured on 18 occasions for Real Madrid this season, scoring once and providing four assists, and he has been a regular this month.
The midfielder has started his side's last two matches against Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid, and he is expected to keep his role in the XI in Sunday's clash with Real Sociedad.
"I won't get involved in that, the club knows very well what I think," Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti told reporters last week when asked about a potential new deal for Ceballos.
According to Marca, the midfielder has rejected interest from the Premier League this month, as he is confident that he will be able to convince Real Madrid to hand him an extension.
Ceballos recently told Real Madrid TV: "There is no bigger club than Madrid. I have four months left on my contract, but I am going to give everything to show that I want to stay here. I have to grit my teeth and show that I have the level to play here.
"I had a great second half against Villarreal and I helped the team with a nice comeback. The coach then asked me to start.
"I have provided energy and desire and I have shown it on the pitch. I am very happy for the victory, especially in this very difficult stadium."
Ceballos initially made the move to Real Madrid from Real Betis in 2017, and he has represented the capital giants on 92 occasions, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in the process.
The midfielder spent the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns away from Bernabeu, though, representing Arsenal on loan in the Premier League.
Ceballos returned to Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, turning out on 18 occasions for the club last season, but he has already matched that total this term.
The former Real Betis youngster has won the La Liga title, two Spanish Super Cups, two Champions League crowns, the UEFA Super Cup and two Club World Cups during his time in the Spanish capital. body check tags ::
