The father of Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has reiterated that the Costa Rican international has no intention of leaving the Spanish capital anytime soon.
Navas has failed to break into the ranks at Madrid since joining the club from Levante in the summer on the back of an impressive string of displays at the World Cup.
That has led to increased speculation linking the 28-year-old with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool said to be among those interested in landing the keeper.
However, speaking to La Nacion, Freddy Navas said: "Keylor told me he is not leaving Real Madrid. He is very happy. He is a fighter who wants to work hard and triumph at the club.
"He knows that he has to fight for a place. It's a process that he's accepting very well. In the press, some people are claiming that he is not good enough, but he is very strong."
Navas has made seven appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, keeping two clean sheets.
