Gareth Bale was once again booed by Real Madrid supporters during the club's pre-season tour after the winger refused to sign autographs outside his hotel in Montreal.
The Welshman, who moved to the Bernabeu in 2013, has often served as a scapegoat for poor performances, with supporters jeering at him during games on a number of occasions.
Some supporters even attempted to attack Bale's car as he left Real's training ground after a 4-0 El Clasico defeat in 2015, underlining the animosity among the core support for a player who has never truly looked settled in Spain.
According to Marca, the 30-year-old had his headphones in as he walked to the team coach and was booed by some supporters when he did not stop to acknowledge the fans camped outside his hotel.
Bale is deemed dispensable by Zinedine Zidane, who did not use him as regular starter during his first spell as Los Blancos boss, but the forward remains intent on staying at Real this summer.
Zidane's side play their opening pre-season tour match against Bayern Munich on Saturday and will also take on Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur before the 2019-20 campaign starts.
