New Real Madrid signing Isco has revealed that he rejected a switch to Manchester City this summer in order to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Both clubs were linked with the Spanish international for months prior to leaving Malaga, with many reports tipping the midfielder to follow former manager Manuel Pellegrini to the Etihad Stadium.
However, the 21-year-old was officially unveiled at Madrid on Wednesday, before announcing that he had the chance to join Manchester City.
"I have few doubts about coming here, because although I knew that Pellegrini wanted me, once I learned that Real Madrid's interest was serious I didn't think twice," Isco told reporters.
"I had offers from other teams in Europe but its impossible to say no to Madrid, it's a dream for me to play here and here I am."
Isco signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid for a fee of £23m.
