Real Madrid will reportedly keep hold of James Rodriguez this summer, but only if Isco leaves the club.
The Spanish champions are looking to sell players after spending €298m (£268.5m) on new signings, with midfielders Dani Ceballos, Rodriguez and Isco attracting interest from other clubs.
However, it would leave manager Zinedine Zidane light in the centre of the park, with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Federico Valverde the only other midfielders in the squad.
Spanish newspaper AS report that Isco may depart if an offer over €80m (£72m) is received, which would then mean that Rodriguez might stay at the Bernabeu.
Zidane was said to be very upset by the attitude of James in his last season at Real Madrid before going on loan to Bayern Munich, but recognises that he is a useful player who could fit into his tactical plan.
However, there are doubts over the mindset of James, who has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
