Juventus have reportedly identified Real Madrid full-back Marcelo as their next transfer target following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday.
Ronaldo completed his blockbuster £100m move to the Italian champions on Tuesday, agreeing a four-year deal in Turin to end his record-breaking nine-year stay with the Spanish giants.
Sports Premium now reports that Juve are planning another raid on the European champions by signing Ronaldo's former teammate and close friend Marcelo.
Madrid are unwilling to sell the Brazilian international, but the report goes on to claim that Juve are optimistic they can prise him away from the Bernabeu following their capture of Ronaldo.
The 30-year-old Marcelo has been with Real since 2007, making more than 450 appearances for the club and scoring 33 goals.
Juventus would likely need to sell players in order to raise funds for the move, with rumoured Manchester United and Chelsea target Alex Sandro one of the most likely to be shipped out.
