Leeds United have reportedly earmarked Real Madrid outcast Mariano Diaz as a potential signing.
The 28-year-old continues to struggle for opportunities in Carlo Ancelotti's frontline and has only made one appearance in all competitions this season.
Diaz has now entered the final two years of his deal with Los Blancos, and he is seemingly surplus to requirements in the capital amid his lack of game time.
According to Fichajes, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has personally identified Diaz as an ideal signing as he searches for adequate cover for Patrick Bamford.
The report adds that Diaz's exit from Real Madrid is inching ever closer, and Leeds harbour hopes of a January deal for the former Dominican Republic international.
Diaz - a former youth product of Real Madrid - boasts a paltry six goals from 49 games for the capital club since re-joining from Lyon in 2018. body check tags ::
