Luka Modric is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract at Real Madrid.
Modric turns 38 later on this year, but still remains a crucial part of the first-team squad at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Croatian has missed just five La Liga games this season, and played in eight Champions League matches on their run to the semi-finals.
Spanish outlet Relevo claim that terms have been agreed and the contract has been drawn up for Modric to sign a one-year extension at the club.
All that is left is for both parties to sign off on the deal, and it could all be sorted before Real's clash with Manchester City in midweek.
Modric will remain as one of the highest earners at the club, but is said to be willing to sign on without any increase in salary due to his desire to remain in Madrid.
The midfielder is currently a doubt for the first leg against City though due to a hamstring injury, but he has returned to training in the past few days. body check tags ::
