Real Madrid are on the verge of announcing the arrival of left-back Ferland Mendy from Lyon in a £44m deal, according to a report.
Los Blancos reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for Luka Jovic on Tuesday to continue their big summer of spending, having also brought in Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes.
Following weeks of negotiating, Marca claims that Mendy is to sign a six-year deal with Madrid and will provide competition for long-serving defender Marcelo from next season.
The report indicates that Sergio Reguilon and Theo Hernandez may be loaned out once Mendy, currently on international duty with France, officially signs.
Meanwhile, talks between Madrid and Chelsea over Eden Hazard are reputedly still ongoing.
