Real Madrid are reportedly considering making an offer for former Barcelona defender Marc Bartra.
The European champions have endured a poor start to the new campaign, and it has resulted in Julen Lopetegui being removed from his position in the dugout.
Santiago Solari has been placed in interim charge of Real, and according to El Desmarque, the Spanish giants are already making plans for the January transfer window as they look to get back into title contention.
Bartra has impressed at Real Betis this season and possesses a €60m (£53.4m) release clause, a figure which Real may be prepared to meet should they continue to remain off the pace in La Liga.
The 27-year-old began his career at Real's fierce rivals Barcelona, with 92 appearances being made for the first team at the Catalan giants.
