Kylian Mbappe 'demanding double the wages Real Madrid have offered'

:Headline: Kylian Mbappe 'demanding double the wages Real Madrid have offered':
Paris-Saint Germain's Kylian Mbappe is reportedly demanding a yearly salary of £60m from Real Madrid, with Los Blancos only willing to pay half of that figure.

Real Madrid's chances of landing Kylian Mbappe have reportedly taken a blow, with the Paris Saint-Germain attacker demanding double the salary Los Blancos are willing to offer.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu over the past five years but has remained in France as the Parisians search for an elusive Champions League success.

Mbappe has been unable to guide PSG to continental triumph, although they did make the final in the 2019-20 campaign before losing to Bayern Munich in the showpiece match.

The World Cup winner has been in productive form for Luis Enrique's men so far in Ligue 1, scoring 19 times and providing three assists in 17 appearances.

According to Bild, Mbappe has set a wage demand for his services in the summer which Real Madrid are not currently willing to pay.

The report claims that the attacker is asking for a £60m-per-year salary, although Carlo Ancelotti's men have offered just £30m at this stage of the negotiations.

It is understood that Mbappe is searching for a £107m signing-on bonus with his potential purchasers in Spain, further increasing the financial outlay for Los Blancos.

The Frenchman will supposedly have to take a £30m pay cut to make the switch to the La Liga giants, and it is unclear whether he would be open to such an arrangement.

Mbappe was on the verge of a big-money move to the Saudi Pro League in the summer after PSG accepted a world-record bid of £259m from Al-Hilal, however the player himself snubbed a switch to the Middle East.

The 25-year-old's terms at Parc des Princes were set to expire at the conclusion of the 2022-23 term, however the attacker activated an extension in his contract in the French capital.

Hitting seven goals in just four matches since the turn of the calendar year, Mbappe is showing no signs of being distracted as uncertainty around his future continues.

Gunning for their sixth Ligue 1 title in seven years, PSG are currently top of the league standings, eight points ahead of second-placed Nice after 18 matches.

Following the 4-1 demolition of third-tier side Orleans in the Coupe de France, Les Parisians return to league action when they host Brest on Sunday night. body check tags ::
