Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Real Madrid that he wants to leave AS Monaco and move to the Bernabeu this summer.
After contributing 26 goals in 44 appearances last season, the 18-year-old has become one of the most in-demand players in world football.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the Frenchman and his father, Wilfried, met with Real representatives in June to discuss his future, and the striker expressed his desire to play for the Champions League winners next season.
The report also suggests that with Paris Saint-Germain now all but out of the picture following their big-money acquisition of Neymar, Los Blancos are better placed to sign Mbappe, although Barcelona could step in following the cash injection from the Brazilian's sale.
Arsenal and Manchester City are also thought to be interested in Mbappe, who helped Monaco to the Ligue 1 title and a semi-final spot in the Champions League last season.
