Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly planning a bid for Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez as "a statement signing" in January.
Les Parisiens are struggling in the league this year and currently sit third behind rivals Nice and AS Monaco.
The club's wealthy owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have decided to fix the problem by making a "big investment" when the transfer window re-opens and, according to Le 10 Sport, he views Rodriguez as the ideal addition to Unai Emery's squad.
The 25-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular space in Zinedine Zidane's lineup this season and has been restricted to just eight appearances in the league.
A host of Serie A clubs - including Inter Milan - have also expressed interest in Rodriguez, who has previous Ligue 1 experience with Monaco in the 2013-14 season.
