Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made initial contact with Kylian Mbappe over a new contract amid ongoing interest from Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old's current deal with Thomas Tuchel's side runs until the summer of 2022, but the French champions are believed to be determined to lock him down for a considerably longer period of time.
Mbappe has repeatedly been linked with a move to Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane heightening those rumours earlier this week by talking about the player eventually moving to the Spanish capital.
L'Equipe now reports that PSG have sounded out the French international about an improved contract but that detailed negotiations are yet to really begin.
The club's Qatari ownership want to win the Champions League with Mbappe, who has scored 48 goals in 51 games for the Parisians since making the permanent switch from Monaco in 2018, as the centerpiece of their side.
