Los Blancos saw their opening bid, believed to be €160m (£137m), turned down by the French giants earlier this week.
However, Carlo Ancelotti's side are seemingly determined to secure the France international's signature before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
According to Sky Sports News, the La Liga giants have now returned with an offer of €170m (£145.6m) in the hope of convincing PSG to sell.
The report claims that Mbappe has made it clear to Mauricio Pochettino's side that he wants to move to Spain and will not be signing an extension to his current deal, which is due to expire next June.
