Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer Vinicius Junior a new long-term deal at Bernabeu.
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 17 times and contributing 14 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
Vinicius still has more than two years left to run on his contract in Madrid, but he is believed to be one of the lowest-paid members of the first-team squad at the club.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are preparing a contract proposal for the Brazil international, with the club hoping to come to an agreement before the end of the season.
Romano claims that the Spanish outfit's president Florentino Perez views Vinicius as a key part of the team's future despite Kylian Mbappe's expected arrival this summer.
Vinicius, who could allegedly be moved across to the right of the attack next term to make space for Mbappe, has scored 31 goals and registered 37 assists in 156 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions.
