Real Madrid have rejected Kylian Mbappe's wage demands ahead of a potential free transfer move from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, according to Guillem Balague.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season following the expiration of his current deal in Paris, with it being widely reported that the forward is Real's primary transfer target.
However, despite suggestions that an agreement had already been in place between player and club, Balague has reported that Los Blancos have rejected the latest demands from Mbappe.
The journalist has suggested that Mbappe and his representatives have demanded an extra €100m (£83m) in wages compared to the previously agreed figure, with the La Liga outfit turning down this request.
Although, despite there being no agreement in place ahead of a summer move, Real are said to have remained confident over sealing the free transfer deal.
Talks of a hold up in the deal will provide fresh hope for PSG to persuade the Frenchman to extend his stay in Paris, where he has scored 22 goals and provided 14 assists in just 30 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season. body check tags ::
