Bayern Munich are reportedly in negotiations with Alphonso Davies over a new deal at Allianz Arena.
The 22-year-old made the move to Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018, and he has represented the German giants on 153 occasions, scoring eight goals and registering 25 assists.
Davies has enjoyed another productive 2022-23 campaign for the Munich giants, scoring three goals and registering eight assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Canada international has been on the sidelines since the end of April due to a muscular problem.
The defender's existing deal at Allianz Arena is due to expire in June 2025, and there has recently been speculation surrounding his long-term future in Germany.
Real Madrid are said to be huge admirers of the Canadian, with Los Blancos believed to be lining up a summer move, as the club look to bring in another left-back.
Ferland Mendy has had his injury problems this season, which has led to Eduardo Camavinga featuring as a left-back on a number of occasions in the second half of the campaign.
Mendy's future is currently unclear, with the Frenchman thought to be a transfer target for Arsenal, while Nacho, who is another option at left-back, could leave Bernabeu on a free transfer next month.
Fran Garcia will return to Real Madrid this summer from Rayo Vallecano, but departures for both Mendy and Nacho would likely lead to the capital giants moving for another left-back.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Bayern view extending Davies's contract as a 'priority', and the two parties are already in negotiations over an extension.
The German champions are said to pushing for an agreement 'as soon as possible', while Romano has insisted that there have been 'no concrete talks' over a summer move to Madrid.
Davies has ended the 2022-23 Bundesliga season with one goal and four assists in 26 appearances, while he also provided two assists in nine outings in the Champions League.
Real Madrid are expected to be active during this summer's transfer window, with Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham said to be on the verge of completing a move.
Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is also currently being heavily linked with a switch to Bernabeu, with Los Blancos looking to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema.
