Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on a deadline-day move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese had been on the verge of a Premier League switch to Tottenham Hotspur, with Manchester United also interested, but the deal collapsed due to a disagreement regarding the player's value.
However, Fernandes now appears set for a dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Los Blancos thought to have all-but wrapped up a £64m deal for the 24-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.
The attacking midfielder recorded impressive numbers last term, notching 32 goals and 18 assists in all competitions from just 53 appearances.
Fernandes has continued in the same vein at the start of the new campaign, registering two goals and four assists from his first five appearances of the season.
