Real Madrid are reportedly set to sign 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Rodrigo Rodrigues on a six-year contract.
The club president of current club Gremio Novorizontino, Genilson da Rocha Santos, has confirmed that Rodrigues is in Madrid to have a medical, and it is expected that the forward will join up with the Castilla B team next year.
Santos told AS: "Rodrigo is in Madrid having a medical and, if there is nothing untoward, he'll sign with the club for six seasons. Rodrigo is a complete forward, who can play out wide or in the middle. He's very quick, explosive and he's developed a lot since he started here at Novorizontino at the age of 14."
Rodrigues will remain in Brazil until his 18th birthday in April, and it is expected that the attacking midfielder will be promoted to the Novorizontino first team following his return to Novo Horizonte.
Real Madrid recently signed another Brazilian youngster in the form of Vinicius Junior from Flamengo for a reported fee of £35m. Both players are set to represent Brazil in the Under-17 FIFA World Cup in India this October.
