Mallorca and Real Sociedad are reportedly both keen to take Real Madrid's Takefusa Kubo on loan for the 2021-22 season.
The 20-year-old is soon to return from an impressive Tokyo 2020 Olympics campaign with Japan, where he claimed three goals and one assist as the host nation placed fourth in the men's tournament.
Kubo arrived at Real Madrid in 2019 but is yet to make a single competitive appearance for Los Blancos' first team, spending time out on loan with Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe over the past two seasons.
According to Marca, Mallorca are the favourites to re-sign Kubo on loan for the upcoming season, but Real Sociedad have also expressed an interest in the starlet.
The report adds that finances could hinder Mallorca's bid to welcome Kubo back to the club, though, and Real Madrid would be keen to send him to Sociedad in order to gain more experience in the Europa League.
The former FC Tokyo attacker registered four goal contributions from five Europa League games for Villarreal before moving to Getafe for the second half of the 2020-21 season, where he scored one goal and assisted another in 18 La Liga games. body check tags ::
