A report claims that AC Milan want to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao.

AC Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao.

The Portuguese international has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months, but it is believed that the English club have dropped their interest.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan are in the race for the full-back and could make their move before the transfer window closes at the end of the week.

Coentrao has struggled with form and fitness this season, while he is currently second choice to Marcelo for the left-back position at Los Blancos.
